Good governance and the international community: Ambassadors will address the impact of anti-corruption policies at the national and international levels and their own efforts to promote good governance within their respective country as well as the international community. A specific focus will be given to the role of youth in economic development. This sub-theme will address the following discussion subjects:

  1. How respective countries address the issue of corruption?
  2. Progress that has been made in good governance
  3. Responsiveness of governments: How progress has affected sustainable development in that respective country?

Corporate private investments and good governance: The panel will discuss private investment experience in developing nations with examples from respective corporate panelists. Corporate executives will relate their criteria for determining levels of foreign direct investment and discuss how good governance, anti-corruption policies, formal legal systems, and social and environmental issues affect their investment plans. The panelists will also discuss existing and possible corporate opportunities for young people.

Capacity building, participation, building young people: Representatives from the World Bank, its affiliates, and NGOs will discuss the importance of capacity building programs, particularly those focused on young people. The main question of the topic is how these organizations build up young people and give them opportunities.

Good corporate governance and responsibility: Private sector, Civil Society and World Bank representatives will address the methods and efforts of various organizations in trying to address corruption and governance issues within their own and other sectors.
